For Michael Cetrulo, great food is just a part of life - it always has been. His first experience was at the early age of 13 when he started working at his family's restaurant. Just four years later he was running the kitchen of the upscale dining establishment, Il Tulipano.

At 23 Cetrulo directed his decade of experience towards his own creation, Il Mondo Vecchio, at an age when many chefs would still be honing their skills. Cetrulo's bold move resulted in early success, startling achievement, and the fulfillment of a life long dream.

Cetrulo, however, sought to acheive an even greater level of culinary perfection. This desire led him to some of the finest Michelin-starred restaurants in Italy and Monaco where he refined his innate talent. He returned from Europe with the tools to redefine modern Italian cooking.

Thus, Scalini Fedeli NJ (Italian for "Steps of Faith") was born in Chatham, NJ. Hailed as "The best Italian food cooking in the state" by the New York Times, Scalini Fedeli has gained a reputation as the gold standard of fine Italian dining.

After conquering New Jersey, Cetrulo set his sights on yet another challenge: Conquering New York City. The risk paid off with the opening of Scalini Fedelil NYC.

In the heart of some of the world's most competitive dining territory, Cetrulo has proven that geat food and great talent can create magic.
